[Improvement Case] Increased Productivity and Safety
Streamlining operations to improve productivity! A case where the risk of work-related falls was eliminated and safety was enhanced.
We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of a rail-type mold transport system with a 20-ton capacity at an automotive-related manufacturer. In a site where large workpieces were being transported by crane, there was a long waiting time for the crane, and there was also a risk of the workpieces falling from the ceiling while being suspended during transport. By introducing an AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle), we achieved labor savings and improved productivity. Additionally, by transporting at ground level and eliminating the need for cranes, we eliminated the possibility of workpieces falling, thereby enhancing safety. 【Case Overview】 ■ Challenges - Long waiting times for the crane - Risk of workpieces falling from the ceiling while being suspended during transport ■ Results - Achieved labor savings and improved productivity - Enhanced safety by eliminating the possibility of workpieces falling through ground-level transport and achieving crane-less operation *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
